It seemed to fate over the years, till one of our slaves, Hannah, had told me that we could be free from all of the plantation, so me an her ran off, she seemed happy to be away from all the work, we still had to do a lot, but she says it was better than before.
There didn't seem to be many' jobs but we found a decent one, an at least it paid. We became' cow, um, cowgals' I guess. It was' decent, till that day...

His hair lays in front of his eyes. He strokes the canvas freely going along with the music. He backs up placing the paint brush in his mouth. He backs up and grins at his piece.
